ISI Announces September Dates for 7th Annual eSolutions Conference

  • Packed program provides unprecedented opportunity for life science executives to address the biggest challenges facing their businesses in the year ahead

Eschborn, Germany (June 2, 2009) Image Solutions Inc. (ISI), a leading provider of electronic submissions management and publishing solutions for the life sciences community, has announced the dates for its much anticipated annual eSolutions Conference, to be held in Barcelona this autumn.

The ISI eSolutions Conference, now in its seventh year, will take place on September 29 - 30, at the Spanish city’s Hotel Arts. This year’s theme will be “Accelerating Change in the New R&D Paradigm”.

The annual ISI eSolutions event has grown to become one of the most recognized dates on the calendar for senior-level pharmaceutical executives who are looking to share ideas with peers, build partnerships with industry thought leaders, and hear from key experts on how they are addressing some of their most pressing challenges.

Those attending in Barcelona this September can expect a lively agenda, with more delegates and more networking opportunities than ever before, along with insightful case studies from some of the industry’s most respected leaders.

Why Attend?
2009 is set to redefine the structure and dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry in a way not seen since the beginning of this decade. With increased competition, reduced resources, and financial constraints, many life science companies are seeking to reengineer current research and development practices in order to support increased regulatory requirements and complexity; expanded co-development collaboration; and a rapidly changing product development model.

ISI is creating an agenda this year based on one simple principle: leaders learn from other leaders. With this in mind, the 2009 program will incorporate more intimate panel and think-tank style discussions, interactive conversations with Q&A sessions, and keynote speeches by some of industry’s most recognized leaders.

At the event, industry luminaries, life science executives, and ISI experts will come together to present insights on how companies are fundamentally changing their operating models to respond to today’s challenges, supported by evidence from real-world case studies, to help regulatory teams respond to the challenges of these new R&D paradigms, which include:

  • Working within a collaborative model to get therapies through regulatory approvals;
  • Consolidating pipelines in an age of mergers, acquisitions, and other types of collaborative partnerships;
  • Managing and tracking submissions around the world and through their lifecycle;
  • Outsourcing to improve productivity and gain competitive advantage;
  • Understanding complex and changing submission standards across the globe;
  • Transitioning to a globally integrated enterprise.

In addition to the continuous networking opportunities that will be facilitated across the two days, a special conference event is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, 29 September at the Pablo Picasso Museum.

“We are delighted to announce this year’s conference dates, especially in the context of all of the many challenges this industry is facing at the moment, which we’ll be addressing in the most practical way possible,” said European MD Adam Sherlock. “I can safely promise attendees one of the most stimulating programs yet, with a packed agenda and all of the associated networking opportunities.”
