Brooklyn, N.Y. and Whippany, N.J. (May 21, 2009) Image Solutions Inc. (ISI), a leading provider of software and services to streamline the regulatory approval process in the life sciences industry, today announced that Jinsoo Kim, the company’s founder and CEO, will be honored as a recipient of the 2009 Fast 50 Asian American Businesses Awards at the CelebrASIAN Business Opportunity Conference ‘09.
Part of the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC Education Foundation) CelebrASIAN Business Opportunity Conference ‘09, the Fast 50 Asian American Businesses Awards recognize successful Asian American entrepreneurs with extraordinary accomplishments in business or who have made exemplary contributions to their companies.
“I am incredibly honored to be part of the USPAACC Education Foundation’s Fast 50,” said Jinsoo Kim, CEO and founder of ISI. “Not only does the award recognize technical achievement by ISI, it also celebrates the spirit of cultural diversity and entrepreneurship. I am proud to share this award with the many dedicated and hard-working employees of ISI worldwide.”
Jinsoo Kim’s career in life sciences technology represents a true American success story. Within three semesters of immigrating to the United States, he earned a master’s degree in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, and 14 years later earned an Executive Master of Technology Management degree from the same university. He began his career at Laser Recording Systems, where he led the development of two breakthrough technologies: an optical New Drug Application, considered the first electronic submission to the FDA using optical disk technology, and DAMOS, the standard application for submission to the European drug agencies.
In the 17 years since Kim founded the company, ISI has grown from a one-person business operating out of Kim’s New Jersey home into an international technology leader employing more than 400 in the United States, Europe, China, and Korea. Today, ISI is classified as a minority-owned business with a highly diversified business offering comprehensive, innovative services and products that accelerate regulatory submissions.
