Sample Success Stories of Pharmaceutical companies using AnnoDoc
Case Study A: Major Drug Company
Problem: Preparation of study reports involved too many iterations of printing, scanning, and proofing. It was an error-prone process that required researchers to spend too much time proofing. Incomplete reports were often submitted to the FDA and were quickly sent back, causing further delays.
Solution: ISI automated the company's workflow process by integrating proprietary data systems with EDMS, which eliminated intermediary printing, scanning and proofing steps.
Benefit: Time and Money. The Company reduced their process from over 1 week to less than 1 day and eliminated the requirement for researchers to proof reports. As such, the Company experienced a reduction in time to get product to market which resulted in a savings of $5.9M a year.
Case Study B: Major Drug Company
Problem: The Company was desperate to find a low-cost method to accelerate the time-to-market for new products by speeding the submission of new drug applications (NDAs) and improving the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) time-to-approval. The amount of time it was taking to get approvals was severely impacting their bottom line profits. The Company wanted a global collaboration and annotation tool to accelerate the process.
Solutions: Time and Money. ISI introduced AnnoDoc. This allowed the Company to access documents from a Documentum content repository over the web, annotate the documents using Adobe Acrobat's full suite of annotation tools, and store the annotations as objects in the docbase. All of this was accomplished without modifying the original document, a requirement of the Company, because AnnoDoc stores the annotations separate from the original document.
Benefit: With the average annual sale of a new drug being $100M, for each week gained in delivering to market early equates to $1.9M in additional revenue.
