Image Solutions Releases Latest Version of ISIToolBox® The Premier Acrobat Plug-In for Life Science Professionals

Whippany, NJ (April 10 , 2006) - Image Solutions Inc., (ISI) a global technology company and a leader in providing software solutions and services for electronic regulatory document submission and clinical trials management, announced today the release of the 5.5 version of ISIToolBox®. This latest version provides a multitude of new functionality that improves productivity for any Life Science Professional involved with the creation, review and navigation between documents, particularly those that must meet regulatory approval.

A major improvement in this version is support for “Named Destinations” which becomes extremely useful when pages are added or deleted in a document. With this powerful feature, hyperlinks need not be redone as with links set to page numbers. Named destinations can also be automatically created from existing bookmarks and be quickly and accurately created to text and keywords.

A Bookmark & Link Auditor verifies whether all named destination links are correct. An iOptimize tool allows you to modify the PDF version for multiple files and make all versions of PDF within a document uniform. PDF versions 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 are fully supported. The version of the PDF file you are optimizing must however be equal to or lower than the version of Acrobat you are using.

This version also permits the use of font case and color to distinguish between bookmark levels, and contains a Bookmark and Link Auditor that searches, spellchecks and allows users to automatically validate links in the document. The feature also allows user’s to change link paths from absolute to relative, ensuring that external links will work when files are moved to different drives or media.

A Bookmark Attributer allows users to change the appearance of bookmarks assign, add, modify and delete User defined styles as required. With earlier versions, the appearance of bookmarks had to be changed one by one or by editing them in another application.

Additionally, an iRedact Tool permits a Text “search and replace” function.

Goto Plus allows two documents to be browsed simultaneously when manually comparing documents for quality assurance. A Page Stamper can add predefined formats for date, time and page numbers.

A Scale PDF scales pages using percentage, paper size or margins. Other applications are no longer needed to scale pages. And finally, a “PDF Information” tab includes the total number of annotations in a document, previously this required manual calculation.

And, “Split PDF”, Splits a single PDF document into multiple PDF documents by bookmarks or page ranges. This tool automatically splits files in ways preferred by most users.
